Having grown up in both the Philippines and the United States, Zona Greig draws inspiration from a wide range of cultural and artistic influences. Her work often reflects elements of her Filipino upbringing, Irish heritage, and American culture, blending those influences with her love of nature, storytelling, and a touch of whimsy.

A lifelong animal lover who once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, Zona is always looking for opportunities to incorporate cute, quirky, and unexpected creatures into her artwork. While best known for her pyrography, her creative interests extend well beyond woodburning. She also enjoys fiber arts—including tatting, crochet, and sewing—as well as calligraphy, brush lettering, and other forms of woodworking and mixed-media art.

Zona is also a writer, blogger, and co-host of the Pyro Toasty Talks podcast, where she explores the art and community surrounding pyrography alongside fellow artists and makers.

When she isn’t creating, Zona enjoys spending time with her husband and sons around Charlotte, whether walking the greenways, antiquing, discovering new foods, reading, or watching movies.
