Japan Fest FAQ’s

How much is it to attend the event?

Japan Fest 2025 is free for everyone to attend! Food, drink, and shopping purchases are on your own. Ticket booths will be stationed throughout the festival to purchase tickets to play the matsuri games.

Can I bring my dog to the event?

Although we love our four legged friends, we expect a large number of people to attend this event. Please be aware of the crowd and loud noises before deciding to bring your dog. Dogs must be on a leash at all times, and no pets are allowed inside the restaurants. There is a dog park on-site where dogs can run around freely.

Where in the world should I park?

Parking is very limited! We highly suggest using a ride-share or carpooling. There is street parking available, but please do not block any driveways and be respectful of our retail neighbors. Closest light rail station is at 25th St.

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

No outside food or drinks are permitted at the event. There will be plenty of food/drink options to choose from at Japan Fest!

How can I get a booth to sell things?

We are excited that you want to have a booth at the event! Please complete this form to let us know more about your business. Food and Merchandise vendor applications must be submitted by April 18.

Do you need volunteers?

Yes! We couldn’t host this event without our volunteers. Volunteers under 16yrs must be accompanies by an adult. Click here to register to volunteer at the festival.

What if it rains?

The Japan Fest will happen rain or shine! (Unless there is severe weather that is unsafe)

Will there be a Karaoke Contest?

Yes! The Karaoke contest will be held both Saturday & Sunday! It will take place on the outdoor main stage from 5pm-8pm. Click here to register to compete in the contest. Deadline to participate is May 14.

Will there be a Cosplay Contest?

Yes! The Cosplay Contest will be hosted on Sunday, May 18 at 4pm. Click here to register to compete in the contest. Deadline to participate is May 14.

Will I need to bring cash?

No need to bring cash! Credit cards & Apple pay are accepted to purchase tickets for the matsuri games. Seoul Food & Urban District Market are cash-free, so no cash is accepted in those establishments.

Is this a kid friendly event?

YES! Everything is kid friendly, so bring the whole family. There will be fun games & performances that the whole family can enjoy.
